Why Pranayama?

Pranayama is the formal practice of controlling the breath, which is the source of our prana, or vital life force. It is the 4th limb of the 8 limbs of Patanjali's Ashtanga (8 limb) yoga. During the course you will learn, practice and have first hand experience with building Prana "Life Energy" and how to consciously direct it in the body.

Why is it good for you?

Proper breathing not only support a healthy yoga practice but a healthy life. It reduces stress by stimulating the Parasympathetic Nervous System (PSNS) and increases the amount of oxygen in the blood while supporting with proper organ function.

What can you do after the teachers training?

You will be equipped with the tools to start a sustainable pranayama practice. In addition you will be able to identify incorrect breathing patterns and have the foundational tools to correct them and teach pranayama safely to beginners.
